Days before the New Year I was presented with the opportunity to work with Wardrobe Stylist Trina Patterson and Celebrity Photographer Michael Antonio for an upcoming shoot featuring a few pairs of Spiked Intuition customized shoes. Not only was I excited about working with these talented professionals, I was beyond blessed to start my year off jumping right into work!
The almost 2 hour drive only felt like 30 minutes because the non-stop laughter stemming from the great convo Ricky and I had nearly the entire ride & a banging mix including music from; French Montana, Waka, Jeezy, Meek Mill, Wale, Rick Ross, Drake, Fabolous, & 2 CHAINNNS! Lol (I had to).
The shoot started a bit late, but once it started everyone’s creative juices started flowing. The MUAs, Mitzi Terry & Derek Medina, started face painting, Trina started directing, & Michael Antonio captured it all.
And of course…the Behind the Scene pics…
The shoot was long but I don’t mind long days as long as I’m learning and building contacts. Everyone, for the most part, was great and although the day didn’t go as smooth as it was planned it was a success.
Who is Michael Antonio? The man behind the lens. The visionary behind the finished product. Michael is most recently known for the 2012 Lil’ Kim promotional pics that were leaked and posted on virtually every entertainment & fashion blog online.
His portfolio and resume both are amazing and his work speaks for itself. I was able to get him to show me some of his unveiled work but I pinky promised I wouldn’t share…yet. *Fingers crossed* I’ll be the one of the first blogs to receive those exclusive pics followed by an interview. Amazing is an understatement. Michael Antonio’s down-to-earth personality and overflowing talent makes him standout from other industry professionals and will continue to open doors for him.
Trina Patterson…Thank You! You are the mastermind who tied everyone and all the looks together. I’m sure you had a few glasses of wine after everything was over and totally deserved it. Derek & Mitzi, 2 thumbs up! Ricky & MazStyle, XOXO! & a round of applause for all the models:)
What’s next? Something epic…but you’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
Yesterday started off horrible but ended with a bang! After a hectic morning my afternoon picked up dramatically. First thing I did was pray (my day & mood seems to be better when I do). My morning meditation session was followed by replying to emails, contacting stylist regarding ongoing projects, shipping out pulls, retrieving merchandise, working on the look for my models in Ricky Da’Vista’s 3rd Annual Fashion Show, MAZstyle photo shoot & then a divine appointment with my big sis Tai at Bible Study. I had to do all of this while managing Cam’s afternoon dates as well. Insane.
I had the opportunity to work with the incredible women behind MAZstyle, Mariselle Serrano & Azua Azurveda, during a recent photo shoot with professional photographer Sam Chyung for their new website scheduled to launch January 2012. Model Mina Echevarria totally conquered the final look, wearing eyewear by Ricky Da’Vista & Spiked Intuition customized shoes. MAZstyle will offer services including wardrobe, hair & makeup styling, as well as instructional makeup classes. Both women have their own incredible story and resume’s to brag about that is consigned by their work. I won’t say too much because the site isn’t launched yet but here’s a few BTS (Behind the Scenes) pics.
Yes, that’s me pictured above with absolutely no make-up on. I had no time for a make-up appointment and that is exactly why I will be the first to sign up for MAZstyle’s make-up classes. My 1st appointment with MAZstyle was for the BlackOut party that I attended early November. I am a skeptic when it comes to full face make-up, so take it from me-BOOK THEM!
