Yesterday started off horrible but ended with a bang! After a hectic morning my afternoon picked up dramatically. First thing I did was pray (my day & mood seems to be better when I do). My morning meditation session was followed by replying to emails, contacting stylist regarding ongoing projects, shipping out pulls, retrieving merchandise, working on the look for my models in Ricky Da’Vista’s 3rd Annual Fashion Show, MAZstyle photo shoot & then a divine appointment with my big sis Tai at Bible Study. I had to do all of this while managing Cam’s afternoon dates as well. Insane.
I had the opportunity to work with the incredible women behind MAZstyle, Mariselle Serrano & Azua Azurveda, during a recent photo shoot with professional photographer Sam Chyung for their new website scheduled to launch January 2012. Model Mina Echevarria totally conquered the final look, wearing eyewear by Ricky Da’Vista & Spiked Intuition customized shoes. MAZstyle will offer services including wardrobe, hair & makeup styling, as well as instructional makeup classes. Both women have their own incredible story and resume’s to brag about that is consigned by their work. I won’t say too much because the site isn’t launched yet but here’s a few BTS (Behind the Scenes) pics.
Yes, that’s me pictured above with absolutely no make-up on. I had no time for a make-up appointment and that is exactly why I will be the first to sign up for MAZstyle’s make-up classes. My 1st appointment with MAZstyle was for the BlackOut party that I attended early November. I am a skeptic when it comes to full face make-up, so take it from me-BOOK THEM!
For the past 3 years in Connecticut the biggest party of the year [The BlackOut] has been held at one of the states largest venues…La Renaissance . This year was my first year attending and of course I had to show up and show out with a good friend of mine, celebrity stylist, Ricky Trendy Da’Vista. Minus the few altercations randomly occurring it was a decent party. I personally think that maybe for next year they should consider serving food or refreshments in VIP for a few hours, a host interacting with the crowd a bit more, and a few “Thank You for coming out” words, just to bring the tone down a few notches and remind people that they are at a 5 star venue and not just an average party.
Here are a few pics from the night…
A close up of my shoes for the night. Customized by myself (of course).
There were much too many people to search for customers in my customized shoes so I made it my business to snap a few with those I happened to bump into. Ebony was wearing the Bada Bling Spiked Intuition customization. See [Gallery] tab for close up.
Here’s another Spiked Intuition customization!
Me & Ricky’s shoegame! (Ricky’s shoe customized by Tyre Banks-no relation)
“She dresses her ass off and her walk is mean…goddamn she fine but she parties all the time.”
VH1’s Love and Hip Hop’s Somaya Reece was strutting around my hometown she did so in a pair of my custom spiked heels:) The shoes were a 4″ Olive Green Suede Pump with short & long Gold Spikes. (Click here to view Somaya’s website to see more pics of the shoes)
